Bye-Bye Bottle

The time has come (actually by some counts we're 6 months overdue) for Siena to stop having bottles. Something to do with rotting teeth. Our doctor suggested we have a bye-bye bottle party where Siena officially says goodbye to one of the true loves of her life (see also: pacifier).

A sentimental moment... the last bottle. I don't think she realized the significance of the moment.

She was supposed to physically place each bottle in a bag to take to the outside trash. She loaded up the bag joyfully.

Charlie was there to bear witness that all of the bottles were actually being disposed.

The throw-away moment. I'm also sporting a new hair-do: the bedhead.

Charlie and Siena enjoyed some early morning time in the alley.

Holding hands, how lovely.

Wow, was it hard on mom and dad? Great job Siena. Your teeth I'm sure will thank you. Or so they say.

Oh man...it's so bitter sweet to have these little milestones of growing up. Way to go! Hope she's doing well after the farewell to her bottles.
